There is no Sennheiser product called “MOMENTUM 4 earbuds.” MOMENTUM 4 Wireless is an over-ear headphone. The fourth-generation earbuds are MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 (MTW4), and Sennheiser now marks that model End of Life in the U.S. because MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 has replaced it.
Entity correction: if you were searching for “Sennheiser Momentum 4 earbuds,” the product you probably mean is MOMENTUM True Wireless 4. MTW4 uses 7 mm TrueResponse drivers, Bluetooth 5.4, adaptive ANC, IP54 protection, and up to 30 hours total battery life. For a new 2026 purchase, compare the current MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 instead.
MOMENTUM 4 Wireless vs. MOMENTUM True Wireless 4
| Product | Form factor | Current status |
|---|---|---|
| MOMENTUM 4 Wireless | Over-ear Bluetooth headphones | Still sold as a current over-ear model |
| MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 | True wireless in-ear earbuds | End of Life on Sennheiser's U.S. store; accessories and spares remain available |

MOMENTUM True Wireless 4: Verified Specs
Sennheiser's current support documentation lists Bluetooth 5.4, 7 mm TrueResponse dynamic drivers, hybrid ANC, three microphones per earbud, aptX Adaptive/Lossless and LC3 support, Qi wireless charging, and IP54 dust/splash resistance for the earbuds.
Battery life is rated at up to 7.5 hours with ANC off, up to 7 hours with ANC on, and up to 30 hours total with the charging case under Sennheiser's stated test conditions.
See the MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 support documentation for current manuals and specifications.
MTW4 Is Now End of Life in the U.S.
Sennheiser's U.S. product page now labels MOMENTUM True Wireless 4 as End of Life and no longer available for purchase through the official store. Sennheiser still lists replacement eartips, ear fins, charging cases and replacement earbud sets.
That makes MTW4 a legacy-buy decision rather than the obvious new-purchase choice. New old stock or used units should be evaluated for battery condition, warranty, return policy and replacement-part availability.
MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 Is the Current Successor
MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 is now the current flagship earbud in the line. Sennheiser lists it at $299.95 in the U.S. with Bluetooth 6.0, 7 mm TrueResponse drivers, hybrid adaptive ANC, aptX Lossless, up to 40 hours total playback, IP54 protection and user-replaceable batteries in both the earbuds and case.
It also adds four microphones per earbud including a bone-conducted microphone, AI-assisted voice isolation, a smaller case, an 8-band EQ and 3D immersive audio.
See the current MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 page for current price and availability.

What About the “Review” Claims in the Old Page?
The previous version described first-hand sound testing, Reddit consensus and direct comparisons without a documented test process. Those claims have been removed. This page now uses current Sennheiser specifications and lifecycle status rather than pretending Wantek independently lab-tested the earbuds.
Sound preference, ANC performance, microphone quality and fit are still worth checking through current independent tests before buying either generation.
Should You Buy MTW4 in 2026?
MTW4 can still make sense if you find a well-priced unit with a reliable return policy and the features meet your needs. However, its End-of-Life status changes the value equation because a new buyer can now compare MTW5's replaceable battery design, longer total battery life, updated microphone system and current warranty support.
