Beats Studio Pro is the current successor to Studio3 Wireless. Both are over-ear wireless ANC headphones, but Studio Pro adds Transparency mode, USB-C charging and audio, newer Apple/Android features and longer maximum battery life with ANC off.
Quick answer: Studio Pro is the stronger current choice for most new buyers. Studio3 Wireless can still function as an ANC headphone, but its Micro-USB charging and older feature set make it mainly relevant when the price is substantially lower or you already own it.

| Feature | Studio Pro | Studio3 Wireless |
|---|---|---|
| ANC | Adaptive ANC plus Transparency mode | Pure ANC |
| Battery | Up to 40 h ANC off; up to 24 h with ANC/Transparency | Older-generation battery claims vary by mode; verify support documentation |
| Charging | USB-C | Micro-USB |
| Wired audio | 3.5 mm plus USB-C audio | 3.5 mm RemoteTalk cable |
| Ambient-listening mode | Transparency | No equivalent Transparency mode |

USB-C Is a Real Everyday Upgrade
Beats Studio Pro uses USB-C for charging and can carry supported audio over USB-C. Studio3 Wireless uses Micro-USB for charging, as shown in Beats' Studio3 quick-start guide. If your other current devices already use USB-C, this can remove a separate charging cable from your setup.
Studio Pro Adds Transparency Mode
Both models reduce ambient sound electronically, but Studio Pro adds a dedicated Transparency mode that mixes outside sound into the listening experience. Studio3 Wireless uses Beats Pure ANC but does not provide the same current Transparency feature.
Battery Numbers Need the Listening Mode
Beats currently specifies Studio Pro at up to 40 hours with ANC off and up to 24 hours with ANC or Transparency enabled. Those are manufacturer test results under defined conditions, not guaranteed runtime for every volume level or source.
Studio Pro Supports More Current Device Features
Studio Pro supports current Apple and Android integrations such as Find My / Find My Device and Android Fast Pair features, with availability depending on the platform. That does not make Studio3 unusable, but it does widen the generation gap beyond sound and charging.

Beats Studio Pro vs Studio3 FAQ
Does Studio3 Wireless charge with Lightning?

Does Studio Pro have a 3.5 mm jack?
Yes. Beats includes a 3.5 mm analog audio cable, and Studio Pro also supports compatible USB-C audio.
