The best Sennheiser headphone depends on what you are trying to do. The current range spans wireless ANC, open-back hi-fi, closed-back home listening and true-wireless earbuds, so a single top-10 ranking hides more than it helps.
Current starting points: MOMENTUM 5 Wireless for premium wireless ANC, HD 600 or HD 660S2 for open-back home listening, HD 620S for a closed-back home option, and MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 for current premium earbuds.
| Model | Best fit | Key trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| MOMENTUM 5 Wireless | Travel, commuting, wireless ANC | Battery-powered closed-back system rather than passive open-back hi-fi |
| HD 600 | Reference-style open-back home listening | 300 Ω and open design; not for isolation |
| HD 660S2 | Open-back listening with extended low-frequency emphasis versus older 600-series references | Still open-back and 300 Ω |
| HD 620S | Closed-back home listening | Different presentation and isolation from the open HD 600 family |
| MOMENTUM True Wireless 5 | Pocketable wireless earbuds | In-ear fit and battery lifecycle |
MOMENTUM 5 Wireless
Sennheiser's current MOMENTUM 5 Wireless lists Bluetooth 5.4, a 42 mm dynamic driver, hybrid adaptive ANC and up to 57 hours of playtime with ANC on under its test conditions.
HD 600 and HD 660S2
The HD 600 remains a 300-ohm open-back reference model. The HD 660S2 is also 300 ohms and is positioned by Sennheiser as a warmer, extended-low-bass member of the same design lineage.
MOMENTUM True Wireless 5
Sennheiser's current MTW5 launch materials list Bluetooth 6.0, adaptive ANC, aptX Lossless, multi-device support and up to 40 hours including the charging case. Compare those features with fit and phone compatibility rather than assuming the newest generation is automatically best for every listener.
